Top Ten Playlist for the Hardest Breakups
There are so many ways to handle a breakup. There is always a line between the right way and the wrong way to handle your most recent breakup. Sometimes that line can seem blurred. I know because I’ve been around the block a few times. I have been through enough breakups to know that they suck. Whether you have cried yourself to sleep or told your best friend that you dumped the jerk you had been dating. So whether you are going through a break up yourself. Or a friend is dealing with one. Just remember, music always helps make a breakup better. It may not be easy. But I promise these songs will help you get back to your old self.
I Hate Everything About You – Three Days Grace
This is probably one of my favorite songs to listen to when I’m going through a breakup. Especially when you have all that anger floating around. This is my go-to song to when I’m mad at an ex. It can be hard to understand why an ex just ups and ends it. Especially when they don’t even bother telling you why.
Confident by Demi Lovato
This song helps you to remember that being single isn’t so bad. You just have to be confident, like the song says. And ladies there is nothing like feeling confident in yourself after a breakup. I mean sure, you may cry at first. I mean it’s hard. But sometimes the hardest thing you have to do is move on. This song can help you do that.
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift
The way I feel after pretty much every breakup I’ve ever been in. This song is great for those breakups where the guy tries to crawl his way back into your life. Which you know is trouble because he was always trouble. I know love blinds people from the things they don’t want to see. So for me, when I see the guy the kind of guy I was dating after the breakup. Well, all the signs make sense.
Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood
The best song if that SOB cheats on you. Now as far as I know. I’ve never been cheated on by anyone I was dating. I mean there were times when I thought my ex-boyfriend was being unfaithful. But every once in awhile. A man does cheat and when he does. This song is the one for all those girls who have ever been cheated on.
So What by Pink
This song is great after any hard breakup. Whether you broke up with someone or they broke up with you. It hurts. But you know what, so what. You can let it break you or face it and move on. Sometimes life is like that. You just have to do what Pink says. Say so what. And don’t let it stop you from being you. That is one of the most important things to remember after a breakup.
Gives You Hell by The All-American Rejects
This is one of my favorite songs. Its one of those songs where when you see an ex-boyfriend while out and you hope your face gives them hell. Sometimes you just want that person to hurt as bad as you. You want them to hurt as much as you hurt when they hurt you.
I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift
Ah, Taylor Swift. I know that she has had her fair share of breakups. And according to the media, she is able to to take those breakups and make them into awesome songs. You Were Trouble is probably one of my favorite Taylor Swift songs. Well, maybe I haven’t listened to the radio recently. If you are going through a breakup, then this is a good song to put on your playlist.
Since You Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson
I’ll be honest. Kelly Clarkson is one of my favorite artists. I feel like a lot of her songs are so relatable. Since You Been Gone is one of my favorite songs by her. It just says a lot about dealing with a heartbreak. You can rock out your playlist by adding this song. Since your ex-has been gone, this song will help make you feel so much better. It will boost you up.

If you’re still struggling to get over your ex. Then this is a very good song to add to your hardest breakup playlist. I know when I had my very first breakup, this song helped me move on. It took awhile. Your first break up is usually the hardest. This song will rock your soul. It will seem like the world is falling apart around you. But eventually, it will be okay again. Life will become normal again.
Somebody I Used to Know by Gotye
I feel like this song is about seeing your ex for the first time after a breakup. It could be a few days, weeks, months, or even years after the fact. Sometimes in that moment, the pain returns. And sometimes you put your head down and try not to get noticed. Other times you walk with your head held high, swaying your hips, showing that your confident and never needed them in the first place. This is a great song to add your hardest breakup playlist.
